Types of Canadian Study Visas
. Canada Student Visa
The Canada Student Visa (also known as a Study Permit) allows international students to study full-time at Designated Learning Institutions (DLIs) across the country.

Eligibility: You must have an acceptance letter from a Canadian DLI, proof of financial resources and a clean background check.
Work While Studying: The Study Permit allows you to work up to 20 hours per week during your studies and full-time during academic breaks.
Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP): After completing your studies, you can apply for a PGWP, allowing you to work in Canada for up to three years, depending on the length of your program.
2. Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)
The PGWP is designed for international students who have completed a study program at a recognized Canadian institution. This visa allows you to gain valuable Canadian work experience, which can be a stepping stone to permanent residency.
Key Features:
Duration: The permit can be valid for up to three years, depending on the length of your study program.
Pathway to PR: Work experience gained on a PGWP can help you qualify for Canada’s Express Entry system or other provincial immigration streams.
Steps to Apply for a Canadian Student Visa
Choose Your Program and Institution: Select your preferred study program and apply to a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in Canada.
Receive an Acceptance Letter: Once accepted, you will receive an official letter of acceptance, which is required to apply for a Study Permit.
Prepare Required Documents:
Valid passport
Proof of sufficient funds to cover tuition and living expenses
Acceptance letter from a Canadian DLI
Health insurance (if required)
Language proficiency test results (IELTS, TOEFL etc.)
Submit Your Study Permit Application: Complete your online application through the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website.
